Kleanza Consulting Ltd., with offices in Terrace, Prince Rupert, central Vancouver Island (Bowser BC), and Vancouver seeks an exceptional Project Manager for a permanent, full-time position with our growing business. The position may be based out of any of our offices, and may include travel throughout BC.

Ideal applicants will be a Permit Holder in at least one culture area in BC (preference to Coastal) and have a proven track record of undertaking ethical archaeology with and for First Nations on Vancouver Island and the rest of the province. Applicants must be an approved Field Director and have familiarity with BC archaeology and the Heritage Conservation Act. Applicants with the ability to Field Direct and hold permits on the north coast will be given preference.

Applicants must have at least five years’ experience in BC archaeology, understand the unique complexities associated with undertaking projects in areas throughout Vancouver Island, and be well-respected and known by our clients, local First Nations, and the Archaeology Branch. Applicants must have a Bachelor or graduate degree in archaeology or anthropology, experience supervising field staff and office-based colleagues, excellent report- and proposal-writing skills, and enjoy being a mentor to more junior colleagues. They must thrive in a fast-paced, exciting company, where innovation, thinking outside the box, and enthusiasm are highly valued skills.

Responsibilities include: field work, report writing, interacting with clients, working with First Nations, project planning, developing project scopes and estimates, developing research design, managing project budgets, deliverables, and timelines, and supervising crews.

Applicants must be physically fit and hold a valid class 5 Driver’s License and Level I First Aid.
