Job: Field Supervisor

Kleanza Consulting Ltd., with offices in Terrace, Prince Rupert, central Vancouver Island, and Vancouver seeks an experienced Field Director for the Northwest Coast Culture area for a temporary full-time position for the 2018–2019 season, starting immediately. There is potential for this position to become permanent.
The position will primarily be based in Vancouver, but may include travel throughout BC. The applicant will likely have opportunities to develop their experience in other culture areas within the province, such as the northeastern BC and central and northern interior.
Applicants must be an Archaeological Field Supervisor with at least three years experience within British Columbia. Applicants must have a Bachelor or graduate degree in archaeology or anthropology, familiarity with BC archaeology and the HCA, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment with minimal supervision, and ability to supervise small- and medium-sized crews.
Responsibilities include: field work, report writing, interacting with clients, working with First Nations, and supervising small- and medium-sized crews. Applicants should enjoy adventure, critical thinking and problem solving, working in challenging physical conditions, and working to actively improve the current standards of consulting archaeology in BC.
Applicants must be physically fit and hold a valid class 5 Driver’s License and Level I First Aid. Additional training such as ATV, snowmobile, and Wilderness First Aid certification would be an asset.
