Job: Entry-Level Archaeologist

Kleanza Consulting Ltd.
Entry-Level Archaeologist

Location Vancouver, Vancouver Island (Bowser), Terrace, and Prince Rupert, BC

Do you want to work with a company that recognizes the importance of work-life balance, has an unsurpassed reputation for challenging the current culture of BC consulting archaeology, and is a leader in facilitating community-based projects, engagement, and ethical practices? Do you wish you had the opportunity to develop your own projects, work directly with company owners to impact company focuses, cultivate your own interests within a supportive and encouraging setting, and work within a company that respects employees’ personal values and professional objectives? Our company is growing, and we are looking for exceptional staff to work with us on diverse, challenging, and unique projects in all our offices, and throughout BC, the Yukon, and the Northwest Territories.

Kleanza Consulting Ltd., with offices in Terrace, Prince Rupert, Vancouver, and Vancouver Island seeks an entry-level archaeologist for a full-time position for the 2018 season. There is potential for this position to become permanent.

We are potentially hiring multiple staff at this level, with positions available in our Vancouver, Vancouver Island (Bowser), Terrace, and Prince Rupert offices.

Applicants must have a Bachelors degree in archaeology or anthropology (or be nearing graduation), familiarity with BC archaeology and the HCA, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment with minimal supervision, enthusiasm, and ability to learn on the job.

Responsibilities include: field work, report writing, and working with First Nations. Applicants who enjoy adventure, critical thinking, riding in helicopters, participating in a democratic work environment, being 4×4 experts, seeing some of the most beautiful landscapes in the world, and challenging the current standards of consulting archaeology in BC should definitely apply.

Applicants must be physically fit and hold a valid Driver’s License and Level I First Aid. ATV, snowmobile, and Wilderness First Aid certification would be an asset.

Kleanza Consulting Ltd. is a small company that prides itself on excellent working relationships with local First Nations and providing a supportive environment for all employees. We provide health/dental benefits, conference and gear funding, as well as other perks after three months’ employment.
